Procedures for assessment:

  1. Monitoring nocturnal penile tumescence (associated with REM sleep).
  2. Monitring tumescence with a strain gauge.
  3. Measuring B.P. in penis with plethysmograph or an ultrasound (doppler) flowmeter. These are used to assess blood flow in pudendal artery.
  4. Measuring Pudendal Nerve latency time.
  5. Other Investigations: Glucose Function Test, LFT, TFT, Prolactin, FSH & Cytometric examinations.
  6. Invasive Procedures: These are used only for patients who are candidates for vascular reconstructive procedures.
  • Penile Arteriography
  • Infusion Arteriography
  • Radioactive xenon penography.
